Long Bio:

Patrick John Donahoe is the author of historical fiction and modern-day adventure series, The Fellowship of the Ancient Covenant, and forthcoming thriller, Mill Creek (due out 2018). Born in the city of Cleveland, Ohio, he moved with his grandparents to a holler in West Virginia as a young boy. After a few tough years of country life, the family relocated to San Diego for work, where he attended high school and met his future wife. As a USAF veteran, he earned his MSEE from SDSU on the GI Bill and spent his engineering career as a federal employee and defense contractor traveling the world evaluating new capabilities for the US Navy. Married to his wife Patty for over 50 years, father of five and Papa to ten, Patrick is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, beleaguered Padres fan, and almost native San Diegan.

Patrick began writing while traveling between ops. His forthcoming thriller, Mill Creek, originated from a prompt in a creative writing class to better understand his childhood experiences. The idea for The Fellowship series came when he saw how people revered superheroes. He wanted to write a story with heroes who didn’t have to leap tall buildings in a single bound but could be human and vulnerable. His love for history and present-day international events provided him with both a historical and a modern story with the four characters present when major events in history occur, have them affect the way history unfolds and having them react to modern day issues using military intelligence and technology to protect mankind from evil forces.

Patrick prefers the quiet life surrounded by family, serving his church and community or traveling and learning about history where it happened. Publishing his writing has been a life-long goal, and he is exceedingly grateful for the opportunity to share his words with others and hopes his children and grandchildren will carry on the tradition. Now retired, he travels the world, enjoys scuba diving and golf, and writes from his experiences. More at patrickjohndonahoe.com.
